1. Overview
Bussi is an iPhone public transport application for Finland. Bussi does not require an account and does not include advertising or third-party analytics. The developer does not operate a backend server that collects or stores your personal information.
2. Information stored on your device
Bussi may store your selected stop, favorite stops, departure snapshots, language and appearance preferences, and recent location information locally on your device. This information is shared only between the Bussi app and its widget through Apple's App Group mechanism. It is used to provide app and widget features and is not sent to the developer.
3. Location data
With your permission, Bussi uses your location to find nearby stops and to select the closest favorite stop for widgets. Bussi does not use continuous precise background tracking. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in iPhone Settings.
4. Third-party services
Bussi retrieves stop, route, departure and vehicle information from Digitransit. When you request nearby stops, your coordinates are included in the request sent directly to Digitransit. Route maps are displayed using Apple Maps, and live vehicle information may be received from HSL's public systems. These providers may process technical information according to their own privacy policies.
5. Data retention and deletion
Because the developer does not collect or store personal data, there is no developer-held user database to delete. You can remove favorites in Bussi, revoke location access in iPhone Settings, or delete the app to remove its locally stored app data according to iOS behavior.
6. Children's privacy
Bussi does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
7. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Bussi's features or legal requirements change. The latest version will always be available on this page.
